Rana said they have brought amendment to the Tarun Dal´s constitution with a provision set aside 45 percent reservation for women, indigenous nationalities and Dalits in all structures of the body to ensure their adequate representation. "Even our mother party has made similar amendments under the pressure from Tarun Dal," he said.

Rana, however, said that they have not been able to fix exact date and venue of the convention as the general convention of the two other sister wings Nepal Students Union and Nepal Women´s Association is also being held around the same time. "We will fix the exact date and venue after consulting the party leadership," he said.

On the occasion, Tarun Dal also demanded immediate resignation of Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai to pave the way for the formation of national consensus government.

Rana informed that Tarun Dal has decided to file a case at Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority over billions of rupees misappropriated by the Maoists in the name of former combatants.
