ROLPA, Nov 30: Janak Bahadur Budamagar of ruling Nepal Communist Party has been emerged victorious as the ward chairperson of Thawang rural municipality-1 of Rolpa.
Buda defeated his rival Nepali Congress candidate Kalam Bahadur Rokka. Buda garnered 174 votes while Rokka received only 26 votes. Similarly, nine votes remained invalid.
Out of 1274 voters, only 209 took part in the by-elections held in the area. The security was stepped up during the voting as outlawed Nepal Communist Party had warned people not to take part in the elections.
