KATHMANDU, Feb 24: The Dahal-Nepal faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has called a meeting of the party’s standing committee.

The meeting of the standing committee members available in the Kathmandu Valley will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, according to Bishnu Sapkota, press aide to the party chairman, Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

The faction of the party has also called a meeting of the parliamentary party at 4 PM later  today amid the changed context following the verdict of the Supreme Court to dismiss the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s decision to dissolve the House of Representatives.

Another faction of the party--led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli-- also held its standing committee meeting earlier today.
