KATHMANDU, Feb 14: The faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal on Sunday announced the fourth phase of agitation against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR).

Organizing a press conference earlier today, the struggle committee led by the leader of the faction Narayan Kaji Shresha shared that a human chain will be formed on Feb 19 around Tundikhel in Kathmandu as a symbolic protest against ‘regression’ and corruption.

Similarly, protest demonstrations will be staged in the districts from February 17 to 24. The faction will also launch a campaign to collect signatures against House dissolution, from February 19 to 27 at various public places.

The agitating faction had earlier organized protest programs from  January 26 to February 10 under what it called the third phase of protests against the dissolution of the HoR by President Bidya Devi Bhandari at the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Following the House dissolution, the Dahal-Nepal led faction has been staging protest programs while the other faction led by PM Oli has been organizing mass gatherings to show its strength.
