NCP Chairman Dahal in Tatopani for wife Sita's treatment

MYAGDI, Nov 13: Former Prime Minister and Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal along with his ill wife Sita on Monday reached the Tatopani pond of Myagdi which is believed to have natural healing properties for the treatment of his wife. She has been diagnosed with health problems including high blood sugar and high blood pressure.

MYAGDI, Nov 13: Former Prime Minister and Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal along with his ill wife Sita on Monday reached the Tatopani pond of Myagdi which is believed to have natural healing properties for the treatment of his wife. She has been diagnosed with health problems including high blood sugar and high blood pressure. 


Sita, who started getting sick after the sudden death of her son Prakash, has previously been treated at various hospitals in India, Singapore and Thailand. Sita was taken to Tatopani after she did not fully recover after treatment at those hospitals.

Along with the Dahal couple, Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa too reached Tatopani to take a dip in the hot-spring pond, which is rich in Sulphur and is believed to help in healing various diseases. Thapa was in the district to inaugurate the Office of the District Disaster Management Center.


Other visitors were cleared off the pond premises due to the arrival of the VVIPs. Vehicular movement along the Beni-Darbang road section was stopped for the arrival of Dahal and Minister Thapa. A heavy security has been maintained at the hotel where the Dahal couple along with their daughter Ganga are said to stay for another two days.
