NCF seeks ban on sale of GoodLife Glow lollipop

KATHMANDU, July 6: National Consumer Forum (NCF) has urged the government to put a ban on sale GoodLife Glow brand of lollipop, arguing that the product is unfit for consumption.



GoodLife Glow is the brand of Asian Biscuits and Confectionary Pvt Ltd, Sunsari. Issuing a statement on Wednesday, NCF said laboratory tests conducted with the support of Department of Food Technology and Quality Control (DoFTQC) confirmed that the lollipop is unfit for consumption.



Prem Lal Maharjan, president of NCF, said that they began the process to test quality of the lollipop after three children of Bardiya took ill following its consumption.
