KATHMANDU, Oct 2: Ncell Axiata Limited (previously Ncell Private Limited) has launched an attractive free SIM scheme bundled with attractive offers, focusing on senior citizens.
In this scheme launched on Friday on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons 2021, Nepali citizens of age above 60 can subscribe to Ncell SIM for free and take benefit of a bonus for upto six months in every recharge of Rs 50 and more, according to a statement issued by the company.
In the first recharge of Rs 50 or more, senior citizens get 100MB data and 100 on-net SMS as a bonus. Similarly, they get the voice, data, and India call service at a subsidized rate for six months after the first recharge. It means; voice service is available at just Re 1 per minute, data costs only Re. 1 per MB excluding applicable taxes, while the customers are able to make calls to India at just Rs. 1.99 per minute under this scheme.
That is not all; there is also a recharge offer valid for six months. In this offer, customers who recharge Rs 50-99 get 200 MB valid for 7-days. Those customers who top up Rs 100-199 are entitled to get 500 MB which can be used within 7-days. Similarly, if the customers recharge their balance with Rs 200 or more they get 1GB of data valid for 7 days, says the statement.
According to the company, senior citizens can visit any Ncell Centre along with a passport-size photo and citizenship certificate to subscribe to this SIM. "This scheme will remain in place until October 8. Ncell believes that the scheme ensures an easy and affordable access to telecommunications services to senior citizens, also contributing to help them stay connected with their loved ones digitally with data," adds the statement.
