KATHMANDU, Dec 17: Newly-elected General Secretary of Nepali Congress (NC), Bishwa Prakash Sharma has claimed that the NC will transform into a progressive party. Talking to media persons outside the party’s office at Sanepa on Thursday, General Secretary Sharma said that his victory to the post under the party’s 14th General Convention was not just an individual's win but a victory of the changed NC and the aspiration to form a stronger party.
Sharma claimed that the NC will not run like it used to but will move ahead after transforming itself into a progressive party. He also said that the NC will be strengthened further to secure a majority win in the upcoming elections.
“As proud as I am, I am also very concerned about my responsibilities. The NC will not run like it used to in the past. NC will move ahead in a progressive way as a modern party,” General Secretary Sharma said.
“We will fulfill our duties in a responsible, trustworthy and accountable way. We will transform the NC in a way to secure majority wins in the elections,” Sharma added. He also claimed that he will fulfill his duties responsibly.
