KATHMANDU, March 27: The Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to fly the party flag at half-mast for three days to mourn the passing of its leader and former Minister Nabindra Raj Joshi.
An emergency meeting of the party central working committee that took place at the party central office, Sanepa Saturday, expressing deep sorrow over the demise of its elder leader, took a decision to this end.

Likewise, the party has decided not to conduct any other formal programmes except mourning programmes till March 30 in honor of the departed leader Joshi. The party has decided to organize a condolence assembly on the 13th day of his departure in central office and in all district offices maintaining social distancing considering the COVID-19 effects.
NC central member Joshi was elected in the 2013 Second Constituent Assembly elections from Kathmandu Constituency. He had served the country in different capacities including deputy Mayor of the Kathmandu Municipality and Minister for Industry in the government. According to family sources, the last rites of late Joshi will be performed at Pashupati Aryaghat today itself.
