KATHMANDU, Jan 17: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has summoned the party's central working committee meeting for Thursday.
The decision comes after the party's Ram Chandra Paudel faction during a meeting on Monday with Deuba, who is party president, demanded the meeting at earliest.
Issuing a statement on Tuesday, party chief secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel informed that the CWC meeting has been summoned at the official residence of Prime Minister Deuba at 11 am for Thursday.
In the wake of the party's dismal performance in the provincial and parliamentary polls, NC leaders have repeatedly voiced for revising party policies and strategy for revitalizing the party.
Party central working committee is also expected to finalize party candidates for National Assembly elections besides discussing the election and on calling the party's Mahasamiti meeting.
