NEPALGUNJ, Sept 22: Spokesperson for the Nepali Congress, Bishwa Prakash Sharma, has stressed that the government should not leave democratic system and characters for the successful enforcement of the constitution.

Speaking at a programme organised by the Nepal Press Union, Banke here today, the Spokesperson of the main opposition called on the government to realise the need for abiding by democratic characters for rulers to ensure the successful implementation of the constitution.

The government failed in terms of the issues of peace and security, he said, adding that a delay in determining the name of provinces and permanent capital and the imposition of unnecessary taxes on people without forming the fiscal commission remained as the government weaknesses.

In a response to journalists' query he said the NC was doing its role as a decent opposition and it should not be believed that its role was not fulfilled by just shouting slogans.
