KATHMANDU, August 16: The ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has been registered at the Election Commission (EC) for the upcoming elections. Today, a team led by NC Vice-president Dhanraj Gurung reached the EC and registered the party.
NC Vice-president Gurung said that the party registration was delayed as 33 percent of women were to be included in the Central Working Committee. He said that they will fight with the election symbols within the five parties and that there will be no impact on the distribution and it is necessary to include all the seats that the Congress wants.
Today is the last day for the political parties to register at the EC to participate in the House of Representatives and province assembly elections scheduled for November 20.
