NC makes a victorious start in UML’s stronghold

SIRAHA, May 15: In Dhangadhimai Municipality 1 and 14 of Siraha, which is considered as the stronghold of CPN-UML, a panel of Suryanath Yadav and Amit Thakuri of Nepali Congress has won.

Suryanath Yadav has won the position of chairman of ward no. 1 by securing 745 votes. His rival UML candidate Suryanarayan Mahato Koiri got 544 votes.

Amit Thakuri of Ward no. 14 has won by securing 522 votes. His nearest rival UML candidate Narendra Sunuwar received 338 votes. In the 2074 local level election, UML candidates had won in these two wards of Dhangadhimai Municipality.
