NC leaders fly to India to assess ailing Khadka

KATHMANDU, Mar 27:  Nepali Congress leaders flew to Apollo Hospital, New Delhi, India to assess ailing Khum Bahadur Khadka’s health conditions and manage treatment expenditures. 


Leader Ramesh Lekhak, Shankar Bhandari and Ajaya Babu Siwakoti, General Secretary of Nepal Press Union left for Delhi following NC Central Working Committee decision on Monday. The party has expressed concerns over deteriorating health conditions of the veteran Nepal Congress leader.

Khadka, currently kept in ventilator is undergoing treatment of kidney, chest and vein problem at the hospital. 


“His condition is much better now,” Rabindra Dhital who is nursing Khadka at the hospital said.


“The doctors said that both of the transplanted kidneys were non-functional and he also suffered from pneumonia,” Khadka quoted the doctors. Four doctors are currently treating Khadka.
