INARUWA, July 16: Nepali Congress parliamentary party deputy leader Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar has said the Nepali Congress was ready to extend constructive support to the government despite being the main opposition party in parliament, in deference to the democratic system.
Speaking in a programme at Barju rural municipality in Sunsari on Sunday, he said the erstwhile government led by the Nepali Congress had guaranteed the democratic exercise in the country by successfully conducting all three tiers' elections. The programme was organised to unveil the budget, policies and programmes of Barju rural municipality.

Leader Gachchhadar charged the incumbent of government of becoming more inclined towards imposing authoritarianism by interfering in the constitutional bodies, press freedom and the judiciary.
On a different context, he conjectured that many parties would not exist in the country in future and only the Nepali Congress and the Communist Party of Nepal would be there.
He claimed that he has made the greatest contribution to the development of Sunsari. The Barju rural municipality unveiled a budget of Rs 366.61 million for the fiscal year 2018/19 on the occasion. RSS
