NC General Secretary Sharma urges public not to worry about distant elections

BAGLUNG Dec 17: Nepali Congress (SC) General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma has urged the people in the party line not to worry about the election to be held after four years and instead concentrate on present development plans.

BAGLUNG Dec 17: Nepali Congress (SC) General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma has urged the people in the party line not to worry about the election to be held after four years and instead concentrate on present development plans. 


Speaking at a program organized by the Nepal Press Union (NPU), Baglung chapter today, the leader stressed the need for prioritizing the 'Vision-95' over the 'Mission-84'. It is necessary to prepare development plans likely to be carried out till 2095 BS, not to think about the election taking place in 2084 BS, according to him.

Stressing the need for a substantive development roadmap for the nation, he said, "Though it is not possible right now, it is achievable in the long run". 


He also said the NC Mahasamiti meeting scheduled to commence from February 19 will seriously review the government's performance. "The government performance seems slow and the NC is also the government coalition partner. The meeting will also assess the roles of ministers representing the party. We will be completed to review the pace of government functioning if it is not accelerated. "


He also wants all political parties to not worry about the election, but get focused on achieving prosperity for the country.
