KATHMANDU, July 18: The main opposition, Nepali Congress, has called for bringing to book those people who broke Buddha's statutes installed in the middle of Siddartha Highway at Tilottama Municipality in Rupandehi district.
Nearly half a dozen of Lord Buddha's statues were vandalized by unknown people on Wednesday night. Releasing a press statement here today, NC's parliamentary party's Chief Whip Bal Krishna Khand, said that vandalism of Buddha's statutes meant a grave insult to the religion, culture and values.
Lord Buddha helped Nepal spread the message of peace and co-existence across the globe. NC has demanded a stern action the culprits who committed such a despicable activity.
