KATHMANDU, May 7: The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has criticized Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli for using indecent remarks in the parliament.
Issuing a press statement on behalf of the party, chief whip Bal Krishna Khand has reacted over the impolite remarks used by PM Oli while replying to lawmakers' questions during the discussions on the government's policies and programs for fiscal year 2019/20 in the meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday.
PM Oli while speaking at the house meeting had said he would ‘answer to the lawmakers’ questions without heeding aggression, envy and mean expressions’ which had infuriated the opposition lawmakers.
The party has also criticized the Speaker stating that he has failed to fulfill the responsibility of the post and could not operate the house on its value and norms.
The party has urged Speaker to delete the statement made by the PM from the parliamentary record and to protect the values of the house.
