NC candidate Rajendra Baniya wins Kirtipur-4 ward chair

His closest rival, independent candidate Pabita Khadka Adhikari, received 495 votes, while Narayan Bista of the Maoist Center garnered 287 votes.

KATHMANDU, Dec 2: Rajendra Baniya of the Nepali Congress (NC) has won the post of ward chairman in Kirtipur Municipality-4, Kathmandu. According to the Election Commission (EC), Baniya secured 742 votes.


His closest rival, independent candidate Pabita Khadka Adhikari, received 495 votes, while Narayan Bista of the Maoist Center garnered 287 votes. Khadka, whose husband Shyam Kumar Adhikari had previously won the seat, contested in the by-election following his death.
