KATHMANDU, Nov 5: Nepal Bar Association (NBA) has said that it is seriously concerned about the decision to recall the ambassadors, citing that the matter is under consideration in the Supreme Court.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, NBA General Secretary Kedar Prasad Koirala has stated that there is serious concern regarding the government's recall of the ambassadors to work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) while the matter related to the recent decision to call back the ambassador is under consideration in the Supreme Court (SC) and an interim order has been issued.

"Actions that indirectly ignore court rulings or orders promote arbitrariness. We sincerely appeal to all concerned not to engage in any activity that would undermine trust in the court while requesting the compliance with court orders or judgments, in letter and spirit," reads the press release.
The NBA has stated that while healthy, scholarly discussion on court decisions or orders is possible, it is everyone's duty to comply directly or indirectly with such decisions or orders.
The statement says, "Based on the constitutional provisions, constitutionalism, the concept of an independent judiciary, and the Article 128 (4) of the Constitution adopted by the country, any action that results in an outcome different from a court order, directly or indirectly, is not only a contempt of court but also undermines the rule of law."
