KATHMANDU, March 27: Naya Shakti Party, Nepal has expelled central council (CC) members from the party.
A meeting of the Special Committee of the party held on Monday purged Nirmal Bhattarai, Chandradev Ojha, Hariram Rimal and Mohan Bam from the party for their alleged involvement in anti-party activities.
“The party took action against them for committing serious mistakes against the party and they denied clarifications despite repeated calls,” spokesperson Khim Lal Devkota told Republica Online.

According to Nirmal Bhattarai, an expelled CC member, he along with other nine members was expelled on the charge of creating parallel committees.
Earlier, Nirmal-led faction organized a national conclave at Shankhadhar Party Palace in Madhyapur Timi Municipality.
A faction led by Bhattarai has been saying that the party should take part in the elections and has been suggesting that it should not align with the Federal Socialist Form Nepal (FSF-N) led by Upendra Devkota.
The party on Monday purged nine Council Members including Bhattarai.
Nirmal said they are planning to call a central working committee meeting of the party and take part in the local elections aligning with the other parties.
