National swimming to be held in September

KATHMANDU, Aug 30: The 15th Open National Swimming Championship will be held from September 4, Nepal Swimming Association announced on Sunday.



The three-day event will be held at Swimming Complex of Satdobato.[break]



There are 20 events – 10 each for men and women in the event along with 28 events in age-group competition. According to NSA, there will be freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly events in under-12, 13-14 years age-group and 15-17 years age-group.



The event is being organized to help prepare the players for the upcoming 11th South Asian Games. NSA informed that the event will serve as the first phase player selection for the event to be held in Bangladesh.
