CHITWAN, Jan 15: President of the National Concern and Coordination Committee under the National Assembly Dil Kumari Rawal Thapa has said that the Committee has been piling pressure for the timely completion of the national pride projects.
Talking to journalists at Chitwan today, president Thapa said that the Committee was very much focused on the quality construction of such projects.
She said the government has declared 21 projects to be of national pride, stating that those projects were related to five Ministries.

Furthermore, she admitted, "It is true that the national pride projects did not lack budget as the government is willing to release necessary budget. Yet such projects are not completed timely."
The President reasoned the projects of national pride were delayed owing to host of reasons such as strikes, government with short tenure and change of the Project Chiefs among others.
According to her, all these issues should be addressed and the works relating to pride projects should be forwarded.
The Committee has held consultation with stakeholders for various 20 such projects, shared Thapa, adding that some projects such as Bheri Babai Diversion, Pokhara Regional International Airport and Lumbini Gautam Buddha Airport at Bhairahawa were making strides.
Consultations were held with all in line Ministries except for Ministry of Defense, but correspondence was made to accelerate the pace of national pride projects, added Thapa.
