KATHMANDU, May 10: The national conference on human rights of people with disabilities has kicked off today in the Capital.
Chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission Anup Raj Sharma inaugurated the two days conference organised jointly by NHRC and the National Federation of the Disabled, Nepal.
Differently-abled people from all seven provinces have participated.
Discussions will be held on separate working papers on current situation of people with disabilities, challenges and suggestions and their rights, to be present in the conference, said the organiser.
Kathmandu declaration will be issued following consultations on the report of Nepal on the implementation of the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and received suggestions.
