KATHMANDU, Nov 11: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has inaugurated the ‘National Census 2021’. President Bhandari formally inaugurated the ‘National Census 2021’ by providing her family's data to the enumerator's team who arrived at Sheetal Niwas on Thursday morning.
The 12th national census has started across the country from today by collecting the details of President Bhandari first. The president herself answered the questions asked by the enumerators who had reached Sheetal Niwas for the census. A team including Director General of the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Nebin Lal Shrestha had reached the President's residence on Wednesday morning.
National census to begin from May 9
The census questionnaire contains 80 questions. Enumerators across the country are conducting house-to-house census. The census, which started today with the slogan ‘My Census, My Participation’, will be held until November 25. Forty four thousand enumerators and 8,500 supervisors have been deployed to conduct the census across the country.
