KATHMANDU, Jan 7: A meeting of the National Assembly, the upper house of the federal parliament, is taking place today.
During the meeting to be held at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor, lawmakers will speak on matters of public concern. The meeting is beginning at 1PM.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to table an annual report of the Madhesi Commission. Likewise, Chairperson of the National Assembly, Ganesh Prasad Timalsina, will table a proposal with a list of lawmakers to be nominated as members of thematic committees under the National Assembly.
Prior to the meeting, a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee is taking place. The winter session of the National Assembly began on Friday and was postponed until today.
