Narayanghat-Mugling road to be closed for 4 hours daily from today

CHITWAN, Dec 20: The Narayanghat-Mugling road section will be closed for four hours a day starting from Tuesday. Vehicular movement will be halted from 11 am to 3 pm every day for a month to construct bridges on the road section.

A meeting of the stakeholders held at the District Administration Office, Chitwan has decided to shut the road for one month from December 20 to January 19. As per the decision, the District Police Office Chitwan has also requested not to operate vehicles during the time fixed for bridge construction.

The vehicular movement will be stopped for the construction of bridges at Simaltal, Kalikhola, Tuin Khola and Chisenji Khola areas that are considered geographically challenging.

Arrangements have also been made to park the vehicles that cannot pass during the designated time. It has been decided to stop the passenger buses, mini, micro buses, and small vehicles going towards Narayanghat from Pandhra-Kilo Bazar to Jugedi at 11 am.

Similarly, cargo trucks, lorries, tippers, tankers and other heavy vehicles will be stopped from Bhateri Jungle to Ramnagar from 10:50 am.

Passenger vehicles coming from Kathmandu side will be stopped at Mugling Bazaar to Manakamana Cable Car Gate and passenger vehicles coming from Pokhara will be stopped at 10:55 am between Benitar and Power House. Similarly, the meeting has decided to stop cargo vehicles coming from Kathmandu at Lewatar and cargo vehicles coming from Pokhara at Ambukhairahani at 10:45 am.
