CHITWAN, March 21: The Narayanghat-Muglin road section will be interrupted for six hours every day from the last week of March.

Issuing a statement on Monday, the Narayanghat-Muglin project informed that the road section will be interrupted for the construction activities from March 28, Tuesday.

The road section is under construction to upgrade to two-lane as per the Asian road parameter. For the construction, the road section is being shut for 4.5 hours every day. However, to complete the project on slated time, the project decided to halt the vehicular movement for six hours every day, from 10 in the morning till 4 in the afternoon.

The project has urged to use optional route during the period. The project has informed that the vehicle for emergency services will be managed to pass through the section.

The upgradation of the road section was started from April, 2015. The project was scheduled to complete within two years. But, only 41% of the project is completed.

With the Rs 3 billion financial assistant of World Bank under the Nepal-India Regional Trade and Transport, due to the upgradation project, it takes more than 3 hours to pass the 36-km road section.
