CALIFORNIA, Nov 16: The Nepal-America Journalists' Association (NAJA) has launched a fundraising campaign for the welfare of the children of business journalist Sanjay Neupane who died at the age of 44 on November 5. He died from anaplastic astrocytoma.
The Association has so far collected Rs 1.1 million, according to its President Bhola Acharya. The funds collected by the Association will be deposited in the fixed account of Neupane's children so that it can be used in their education in future, he said. The amount will be handed to the bereaved family through the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), said Narayan Prasad Sapkota soon, the coordinator of assistance collection committee formed by the Association for this purpose.
The late journalist Neupane, former Editor in Chief at the Karobar National Economic Daily, is survived by his daughter and son. RSS
