KATHMANDU, Dec 1: Senior Correspondent of Nagarik Daily Rudra Khadka has bagged the Society of Economic Journalists (SEJON) award of this year.
The SEJON honored Khadga with the coveted prize for reporting on irregularities of under-construction Sikta Irrigation project in Banke.
Khadga has been awarded with the prize of this year for the print media which SEJON gives away annually.
A panel of judges comprising Professor Dr. Ram Prasad Gyawali, TU, and Journalist duo Dhruba Hari Adhikari and Babita Basnet picked Khadga for the award which carries a purse of Rs 50,000 along with a certificate.
The prize was distributed on the establishment day of SEJON. Finance Minister Yubaraj Khatiwada distributed the prizes.
Subas Yonjan was awarded the SEJON prize under digital media.
