NAC to conduct three weekly flights in Kathmandu-Narita sector starting May 1

KATHMANDU, April 26: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) will conduct three weekly flights in the Kathmandu-Narita, Japan sector starting May 1. The flights have been scheduled for every Sunday, Tuesday and Friday. The airline is currently operating two flights a week in the Kathmandu-Narita sector.

KATHMANDU, April 26: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) will conduct three weekly flights in the Kathmandu-Narita, Japan sector starting May 1. The flights have been scheduled for every Sunday, Tuesday and Friday. The airline is currently operating two flights a week in the Kathmandu-Narita sector.


Issuing a statement on Monday, NAC said that, as per the Japanese government regulations, only 140 passengers can be carried on Sunday and Tuesday flights and only 120 passengers on Friday flights. The availability of seats is very low compared to the passenger pressure and demand as a result.

Stating that the aircraft is obliged to carry over half the passenger capacity of the aircraft, NAC said the fare has naturally become a bit expensive. The airfare of Kathmandu-Narita sector for business class is Rs 152,000 and for economy class the fare has been set at Rs 119,700.


The airline has warned that if any person or company is found to have sold or distributed tickets for more than the stipulated price, action will be taken as per the rules.
