KATHMANDU, Dec 19: Two employees of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) arrested in connection with the case of sending Nepalis abroad to work on visit visas have been suspended.
NAC Officer Hom Nath Pokharel and senior assistant Arbinda Yadav were arrested by the police on the charge of arranging documents for people going abroad to work on visit visas.

Yubraj Adhikari, the executive head of the NAC, has suspended Pokharel with effect from the date of his arrest on December 11, as he was detained for investigation in a document-related crime case.
Similarly, Yadav has been suspended with effect from the date of his arrest on December 13. There is a provision in the regulations regarding the service and conditions of the employees of the NAC that the suspension will continue until the end of their legal proceedings.
The police are investigating them on the charge of helping agents to make fake documents to send Nepali individuals to Gulf countries to work on visit visas.
