At Amlekhgunj, the NA imparts training in jungle warfare, while at Jomsom, it has the MWS (Mountain Warfare School). In addition, it also has a Recruit Training Center at Trishuli.

General Gurung has also announced upgradation of some welfare schemes. Under the scheme, the NA men will now onwards receive two pairs of combat dresses in 18 months time under the free issue scheme.
