NA to be mobilized for polls: Leaders

KATHMANDU, Aug 27: Parties represented in the High Level Political Committee (HLPC) have said the government would mobilize the Nepal Army so as to ensure free and fair Constituent Assembly (CA) polls.



CPN (UML) Secretary Shankar Pokharel said, “Nepal Army could be mobilized at each polling booth to maintain security,” said Pokharel. Madhesi People´s Right Forum-Democratic Vice Chairman Rameshwar Raya Yadav said that the government would mobilize the security agencies for holding free and fair election.



“The government will leave no stone unturned to make sure that the November 19 elections would be held in a free and fair manner,” said Yadav. Similarly, Central Working Committee (CWC) member of Nepali Congress Dr Minendra Rijal said that the government would hold the November polls at any cost. “The have kept the door open for holding dialogues with the dissenting parties,” added Rijal.
