NA members draw government attention to contemporary issues

KATHMANDU, Aug 16: In a meeting of the National Assembly, most of the lawmakers demanded the government to provide relief assistance to the survivors of landslides and monsoon speaking at a special time of the upper house session today. 

Kali Prasad Malla, Ramesh Prasad Yadav and Bhairav Sundar Shrestha drew the government's attention towards supplying relief assistance to survivors of natural disasters in Jajarkot district and the construction of bridges at emergency areas for the convenience of people. 

Dhan Kumari Khatiwada termed the decision to give the Radio Nepal's land on a lease without informing the local level 'illegal'. 

Anita Devkota accused the local level of imposing tax on people in an arbitrary manner while Bimala Rai Poudel of paying less attention to the housing constructions for earthquake survivors. 

Rampreet Paswan lambasted the government for its apathy towards the improvement of poor road conditions. Kabita Bogati, Durga Prasad Upadhyay and Nainkala Ojha drew the government attention to other contemporary issues.  RSS
