My song brought tide through satire: Pashupati Sharma

Singer Pashupati Sharma stirred much controversy with the satirical song against corruption titled ‘Lootna Sake Loot’. He During an interview with comedian Manoj Gajurel in ‘Dhukka Hunus’ of Nagarik Network he said that he tried to portray the real happenings of our society via song.

“I tried to depict the real suffering of normal civilians but the least that I hoped that the song would affect people and the government in such ways,” expressed Sharma. He further stated that he never aimed to be a politician. “I never thought of being a politician. If I had, then the scenario would be something else.” 

Nepali people always fantasize to decrease corruption in the country. Everyone wants to live in a well-managed country. We have been hearing these things in various places through social media and through the song, I have tried to bring these voices and hopes of common Nepali citizen together.”
