On October 26, 4,598 tourists entered Mustang through Myagdi, but many have faced difficulties visiting Muktinath Temple due to heavy snowfall. Rain and snow since Monday night have left several travelers stranded.
Rabin Subedi, an official at the Muktinath Temple Development Committee, said thick snowfall along the Kagbeni–Muktinath road section and the walking trail from the bus park to the temple had disrupted movement for pilgrims.
The Muktinath area has turned extremely cold, with temple ponds and the famous 108 water spouts frozen, making religious rituals difficult.
Since mid-July (July 16, 2025) to October 26, 2025, a total of 159,467 tourists have visited Mustang via the Beni–Jomsom route, police records show.
