Baglung is all set to witness the first ever Mister and Miss Baglung 2017 contest. The pageant will be jointly organized by Manjari Group, Nawa Jiwan Re-establishment Center and Kalika Bhagwati Club.
The first round of auditions toward the pageant was held in Baglung on Saturday. A total of 33 young boys and girls were selected for the competition in the audition. President of Nawa Jiwan Re-Establishment Center Sanjay Khadka, advocate Ram Sharma and Mister Chitwan Pawan Shrestha, among others, were included in the panel of judges. The contestants were judged on the basis of intelligence, confidence, presentation and personality.

Talking about the audition, Bishal H Ale, one of the organizers, shared, “The students between the ages of 16 to 24 years and who recently passed their SEE are eligible to participate in the contest. There will be other rounds of auditions as well. So, the interested ones can still take part in the competition through other auditions.”
According to the organizer, the selected contestants would get special training during September-October for 21 days. Each title winner will receive a scooter. A cash prize of Rs 50,000 each has been announced for first both male and female runners-up and a smart phone each for both second runners-up.
