KATHMANDU, Nov 19: Uma Devi Badi, a woman rights activist and member of Provincial Assembly, Province No 7, has been enlisted at the 10th position among the list of 100 inspiring and influential women from around the world revealed by BBC.

BBC has announced the name of the 100 Women who are inspiring and influential from around the world for 2018 on Monday.

Uma Badi is from the Badi community and is working to change the perception of lowest ranking untouchable community in western Nepal.

BBC reveals a list of 100 inspiring and influential women ranging in age and from around the world, including leaders, trailblazers and everyday heroes each year for their contribution in the society, community and the country.
