MORANG, June 19: A motorcyclist was killed and next one has sustained injuries at Sundar Haraicha Municipality-12 in Morang district along the East-West Highway after a tractor hit a motorcycle last evening.
The tractor (Ko 1 Ta 5349) hit the motorcycle, killing 32-year-old Shyam Karki of Kerabari Rural Municipality-9 of the district. Pillion rider Nilam Bista, 24, of the same area has sustained injuries in the incident.
Inspector of Traffic Police Madan Giri said that Karki died while receiving treatment at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, last night.
It is said that the brand-new motorcycle was yet to receive the number plate.
The Area Police Office, Belbari, has taken the tractor driver under control after the incident. RSS
