LAHAN, July 28: A mother with her two daughters was found drowned in a pond in Sarlahi on Wednesday morning.
The bodies of the deceased were recovered from a pond of Brahmapuri Rural Municipality-3 in Sarlahi.
Two missing after car plunges into pond
Rikewa Devi Kapad, 26, her 18-month-old daughter Rama and a new born son were found dead in the pond owned by Suryabansha Chaudhary, according to Shyam Saha, ward chairperson of Brahmapuri-3.
Rikewa Devi had left home with her children at around 12.00 midnight and their bodies were found floating in the pond this morning, according to family sources.
According to the police, Rikewadevi’s husband who went to search for his wife and children has not yet returned home. “The bodies were recovered from the pond and are being sent to the district hospital for post-mortem.”
