KATHMANDU, July 7: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Mayor Balendra Shah aka Balen has made a remark regarding Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s controversial statement made a few days ago that an Indian citizen Pritam Singh had made several attempts to convince the Indian establishment to make him the Prime Minister.
In a Facebook post, Mayor Shah voiced his suspicion towards the parliamentarians who played a role in electing Prachandra as the Prime Minister instead of Prachanda himself. He further alluded to a significant number of parliamentarians in the government who allegedly follow the directives of the Indian establishment.

Additionally, he questioned why he alone had to face contempt of court charges while individuals he referred to as "Indian slaves" hold influential positions in running the country. Mayor Shah expressed his concern, wondering whether he is the sole voice opposing this dynamic and if everyone else is simply passive bystanders.
“We are suspicious of the parliamentarians who made Prachandra the prime minister rather than Prachanda himself. It seems the parliamentarians who take orders from Delhi have a majority in the government [parliament]. Indian slaves are running the country and I am the only one against it? And am I the only one in contempt of court? Are all others just lifeless bodies,” Mayor Shah wrote.
