GAUSHALA, July 3: More than 50 villages in eight municipalities and two rural municipalities are at high risk of flood in Mahottari district.
These settlements near the bank of the Ratu, Maraha, Jangha, Bighi and Kutumeshwari rivers are at high risk of flood due to the continuous rain since the last three days.
These rivers are swollen and the water level has been rapidly rising in these three rivers which have increased the risk of floods.
In view of the incessant rainfall, the chiefs of the local bodies in these areas have made the people aware of the risk of flood and urged them to be prepared. RSS
