UDAYPUR, Feb 14: Morang XI stunned A Division outfit CMG Club Sankata 2-1 on Monday to secure a spot in the final of Rumpum Udaypur Gold Cup 2073 football tournament at the Tharuhat Stadium, Gaighat. 

Bhuwan Basnet and Migchan Tamang were on scoresheet for Morang after the break. Bhuwan broke the deadlock in the 69th minute and Migchan doubled the advantage four minutes later.

Sanjib Thapa cut the deficit seven minutes from time for the capital-based A Division team. However, it was too late for Sankata to net another goal and force a draw.

Morang XI will take on the winner of the second semifinal to be played between Rupandehi XI and Himalayan Sherpa on Tuesday, in the title clash scheduled for Thursday.
