KATHMANDU, Sept 23: The weather will remain changeable today in four provinces of the country. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM), the Monsoon low pressure line is currently located to the southern part closer to Nepal Also, the weather will remain changeable in four provinces of the country due to the influence of the low pressure area around Jharkhand, India.
The MFD has said that there will be a general change in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and partial to normal change in the remaining areas. Chance of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning at few places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and few places in rest of the province. According to the MFD, there is a possibility of heavy rain in a couple of places of Koshi, Madhesh and Gandaki provinces. In addition, there is a possibility of wind at a couple of places in Terai area of Lumbini, Madhesh and Koshi provinces.
Light to moderate rainfall likely today
The weather will remain partly cloudy over the country with a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning at a few places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and a couple of places in the rest of the country tonight. In addition, there is a possibility of heavy rain in a couple of places of Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati provinces, the department said.
The department advises the public to be cautious and prepared for potential weather-related risks as conditions are expected to change, leading to rainfall in various parts of the country.
