KATHMANDU, SEPT 8: The bodies of a couple, who went missing when their house collapsed after being buried in a landslide in Dhuma, Barekot Rural Municipality-6, Jajarkot, have been found.


Bir Bahadur Giri, chairperson of Barekot Rural Municipality, said that the bodies of the couple who were killed after being buried in the landslide debris were recovered at 10:30 AM on Sunday.

Last night, when their house was swept away by a landslide triggered by incessant rain, Prem Kumari Chalaune, a ward member of Barekot Rural Municipality-6, and her husband Man Bahadur Chalune, died after being buried in the landslide.


Similarly, their 11-year-old daughter, who was buried in the landslide debris, was rescued at 10 AM and sent to Kalagaon Provincial Hospital via a helicopter of the Nepali Army for treatment.
