Miss Purbanchal Contestants for Blood Donation

DHARAN, Sept 10: Contestants of Miss Purbanchal 2017 on Saturday spent their day requesting passersby at Bhanu Chowk to donate their blood at a program being organized in Ghantaghar of Dharan on Saturday.

The contestants tried to convince passersby for blood donation, also informing them about the importance of blood donation. One of the contestants from Jhapa, Ajina Niraula, said, "We have been trying to convince the locals that donating blood is good for the donors as well as others in need. I am from Jhapa, and it definitely took me some time to understand the mind of Dharan people."
As many as 20 girls are competing for the title. 

According to Director of Silver Entertainment, organizer of the pageant, the awareness program was aimed at making the participants realize their responsibility toward the society along with developing their communication skills.
