The ninth season of Miss Pokhara is all set to begin in the lake city amid much enthusiasm. Pokhara Jayceecs has decided to host auditions for the contest at different Pokhara-based colleges. 

Chairman of Pokhara Jayceecs, Shiva Koirala, stated that the members of Pokhara Jayceecs along with the winners and runners-up of Miss Pokhara 2016 were visiting different colleges to spread the word about Miss Pokhara 2017. 

Shiva also mentioned that the beauty pageant was an important and prestigious event. According to him, the winner of Miss Pokhara gets a direct entry to Miss Nepal contest. 

The auditions of Miss Pokhara will be held with the slogan ‘Beauty with Brain’. The first audition will be held on August 12 and final audition on August 19. 

Suraj Thapa, event manager and choreographer of Miss Pokhara 2017, said the main event will be held on September 21, on the day of Ghatasthapana. 

Miss Pokhara was first organized in 1995, and is considered the first ever beauty pageant to be held outside the Kathmandu Valley.
