BHOJPUR, Feb 25: A minor has been killed after being run over by a taxi at Pantyanki of Bhojpur Municipality-5.

The deceased has been identified as Binita Ghatane, daughter of Subas Ghatane of Khandbari Municipality -12, Tumlingtar, according to police.

Binita was critically injured after the taxi hit her while she was playing on the way. She was rushed to Siddhakali Hospital but succumbed to her injures in the course of treatment, Chief of District Police Office Kaji Kumar Acharya told Republica Online.

Police are investigating the case after taking taxi driver Dhankumar Sunar, 29, of Okhre under control.
