KATHMANDU, AUGUST 27: The government has decided to resume issuing No Objection Certificate (NOC) for students who are going abroad for their further studies. The government had stopped issuing NOC since April due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, a cabinet meeting held on Tuesday decided to resume the process.
51,637 NOCs issued in six months
A NOC enables a student to go and study abroad, without hassles. It is also required to send money to foreign colleges.
The number of students receiving NOC from the Ministry of Education to study abroad is increasing every year. As recorded by the Ministry, over 1,00,000 students receive the certificate every year.
